About Us

Clients of US China Global Law Group benefit from our attorneys’ experience operating businesses of their own and from their prior work at large U.S. and international law firms. From experience as business people and lawyers, we know the importance of timely, accurate and comprehensive service. We also know the pitfalls of large law firms, particularly in the area of customer service, and how work is often delegated to associates that clients may never meet. At the US China Global Law Group, our clients work directly with experienced attorneys and take great pride in the services they provide.

Our attorney’s noteworthy achievements include being honored as 2012 and 2011 “San Diego Best Lawyers” by SD METRO magazine, “Woman to Watch, Business Women in 2006” in a state business journal and feature reported and quoted in various journals and other media. In addition, we have taken on community leadership positions such as co-founder of US-China Business Connections, a non-profit organization providing networking services and education to business owners interested in doing business between the U.S. and China. Our lead attorney serves as Legal Counsel for China Marketing Association, a nation-wide non-profit organization in China, as well as legal advisor for San Diego Chinese American Association.

US China Global Law Group has a broad network that can be leveraged to help make our clients more successful. We often provide referrals to our network in the areas of investment funds, consulting and other professional services in the U.S. and China.

We have seasoned attorneys with big law firm experience, but without the big law firm rates or inconveniences. Our rates are always reasonable and we can provide flat fee or contingent fee arrangements. Call us and find out!

Our Clients

Our core clients are small to mid-sized businesses involved in life science, high-tech, manufacturing, distribution, restaurants, retail, or the service industries; Asian communities; U.S. companies doing business in Asia/China; and foreign investors investing in the U.S. However, we also have experience serving many Fortune 500 companies. In addition, our lawyers represent professionals including accountants, attorneys, medical professionals, architects and engineers.

“We hired Connie for our first project in China while she was at Mayer, Brown, Row & Maw LLP (now “Mayer Brown, LLP”) in Washington, DC and continued to work with her on our China deals after she moved to Squire, Sanders & Dempsey, LLP and lately at her own firm. Connie’s unparalleled negotiation skills, strategic thinking, expert knowledge of Chinese culture, business practice and legal issues were instrumental in the closing of our 1st deal in China. Connie is very thorough and detailed-oriented yet strategic when giving advice. She is also very responsive and extremely hard-working. With the time difference between US and China, she always accommodates the Chinese counterparts’ time schedule and literally works around the clock to negotiate deals in China.

Negotiation over the phone is not easy, especially with people who speak different languages and have different legal systems. However, Connie handles it very efficiently. She can easily establish the rapport with and win the trust from our Chinese clients and always gets us the best results, which is very distinctive from other US trained attorneys who do not have her experience and background. She is also very resourceful.

It’s great to work with Connie at her new firm since we get the same amazing service at a better rate. I highly recommend Connie to anyone seeking help with business transactions with Chinese companies.”

From Mr. Bruno Viterbo, Managing Director, Champalimaud, a New York based International Interior Design Firm

“I highly recommend Connie as an attorney. She is very intelligent, well-rounded, attentive, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. Her negotiation skills and expertise in China are superb and exceed many of her peers in the US. Connie worked with me as a contract attorney in a negotiation for one of my premier US corporate clients involved in a transaction with a large Chinese company. She was dealing with senior officers of both companies and was indispensible in the transaction.

I have practiced law for more than 36 years and handled many transactions in Asia and Europe. I know that my clients and I can always benefit from Connie’s unique background and her expertise in China. I recommend her enthusiastically and without any reservations whatsoever.”

From Joseph L Manson III, partner Baker Hostetler, an AM100 law firm in Washington, DC

“Connie provided advice on the commercial lease for my new restaurant. She is wonderful to work with. She helped to fix the problems in my lease and saved my business. My English is limited and she can explain the complicated legal terms in the language I can understand. She was also very patient in giving very detailed advice and explanations. She is very accessible and always answers my questions in a timely manner. I’m very happy to work with her and highly recommend her.”
